At Andersen Housing we strongly believe that everyone deserves a second chance, we are passionate about working with those struggling through difficult times and offering them support to be able to grow and make huge strides on their journey.
We offer a vital support service to those facing homelessness/ fleeing domestic violence/ suffering from mental health problems /experiencing learning difficulties as well as ex-offenders. We provide supported housing which is clean, safe and secure. We believe that by providing a much-needed base, a place where service user can settle, they will be able to grow and prosper. With our custom support workers, we work with our services users to really help them get through the difficulties they may face. We provide or sign-post our clients towards obtaining counselling, benefit advice, health and well-being support and financial guidance.
- To provide a high quality, cost effective sensitive, personal care and support service to those individuals who cannot wholly look after themselves completely without assistance regardless of their age, sex, race, cultural or religious beliefs.
- To enable Service Users to have choice and control of their own lives and lifestyles where ever it is feasible and safe to do so.
- To promote personal wellbeing enabling each Service User to achieve their optimum level of independence.
- To ensure that the dignity and privacy of all Service Users is recognised and respected.
- To assist vulnerable young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness so as to achieve sustainable housing and social inclusion.
- To promote a safe environment for young people by ensuring that each young person is given a holistic risk assessment, that is regularly reviewed.
- To enable young people to meet their health and emotional needs.
- To promote and maintain positive relationships that benefit young people, enabling them to develop their identity, self-respect and caring for their own wellbeing.
- To promote the right culture that is conducive for their learning, education and training needs.
- To ensure that resources and support are available and encourage young people to gain and maintain employment.
- To enable young people to develop skills to effectively and efficiently communicate and interact with others as well as integrate and contribute to society in a positive manner.
- To work in partnership with parents, guardians, responsible adults, teachers, educational institutions, health personnel and other professionals in order to ensure that young people can maximise their full potential.
- To ensure high quality, yet cost effective services delivered around the needs of young people.
- To promote an atmosphere of trust and respect.
- To enable young people to be empowered to make wise choices and decisions in all areas of their lives.
- To encourage young people to participate and become involved in the delivery and development of the service.
- To develop person centred pathway support packages for young people.
- To promote safety for young person by ensuring that they have a holistic risk assessment that will also be regularly reviewed.
- To help enable young person to meet their health and emotional needs.
- To promote and maintain positive relationships that will benefit young people and enable them to develop their identity, sense of value, self-respect and caring attitude which will aid in their own well-being.

Making A Difference
Andersen Housing offer a unique support package to our service users. We provide a safe and supported living arrangement, community interest programs and back to work opportunities. We are a not for profit organisation who strongly believe that everyone deserves a second chance. We work with those who need additional support, those who have mental health problems, offending history, suffer from alcohol and drug related issues and other life situations.
Our service users are offered unique client centred plans with their personal support worker who can sign post them to the relevant services. We aim for them to move towards independent living and gaining employment relevant to their skills, abilities and qualifications.
Support Staff
There will be an established level of staff support. Our staff will:
- visit the person on a scheduled basis;
- offer 24-hour presence;
- offer supported housing whereby provision is based purely on support with no personal care required.
