Andersen Housing semi-independent living is primarily targeted for persons who are age 16 and above and who are also at risk of violence and fear for their safety and wellbeing. Our semi-independent living provisions have 24 hours on-site support staff cover. The aim of providing supported accommodation is to give service users the opportunity to live as independently as possible with assistance from our qualified and trained staff.
Our service users are free to make their own independent choices and live their lives in the way they want to. They have tenancy agreements and are given the same rights as anyone living in his/her own accommodation.
Promoting service users’ independence
Independence is very important, so living in a supported housing allow our service users to live in their own accommodation while feeling safe, knowing that care or support is easily accessible. The level of assistance is agreed from the outset with each service user, so the support given to each service user varies.
